Home Sweet Home for the remaining 26 days!
getting ready for a few hours of quiet time.
All sealed and ready to be opened!
The whole kit is ready to be assembled.
This is the machine that will filter my stem cells from my blood. The blood will get filtered back through my body a few times. The plasma gets replaced and the stem cells are cryogenically frozen. Go USA!
Dr. Fedorenko sets everything up and checks on us a few times during the procedure.
I’m ready to get started : )
Occupying myself by seeing whose birthday is approaching on facebook!
The Stem Cell Filtering Machine is made by Haemonetics MCS in Braintree Massachussets : ) Plasma in the front and the stem cells on the right.
Nurse showing me how full my bag looks….
Alas, it was not quite enough. I needed 2 million/kg of body weight and I only got 1.3 million/kg of body weight.
One more day of harvesting my stem cells. However, Andrea and Stevie have made it through in one day!!!
Way to go! Hope I’ll only need one more day!
This blog post was very helpful to me. I’m sure others will find it useful as well.

Great job Nancy! You are getting through one of the tougher points in treatment so seeing your smile is a sign of your determination to beat this disease 🙂
