About me

In January 2008, I was diagnosed with Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis (PPMS). PPMS is a very rare form of Multiple Sclerosis. There is no cure and no FDA treatment anywhere in the United States for this kind of MS. This disease is slowly paralyzing me from my legs up. After searching the internet for clinical trials and studies, I found Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant (HSCT).  It is my only hope of stopping or slowing down this disease, and offers me a 70- 80% chance of stopping the progression. I am going to Moscow in June for treatment. I will receive a high-dose immunosuppression followed by a transplant of my own stem cells, called an autologous stem cell transplant.  This will reprogram my immune system so that it stops attacking my brain and spinal cord.  Despite my increasing limitations I’m feeling very positive about my future after HSCT and am looking forward to being able to walk without assistance and be independent once again.

It will cost approximately $60,000 for everything including flights, visas, hotel before admission, hospitalization and aftercare. Unfortunately, insurance will not cover the expense of this progressive treatment and our financial situation is NOT what it was in the past.  We are humbly asking for your help with the cost.  We would appreciate any financial assistance you can provide.  Prayers are greatly appreciated too.  Please spread the word to your friends and family too.

Hi Nancy, I work for Scottish Television in Aberdeen, Scotland. I am producing a story about HSCT and the work they do in Moscow’s Prigov Centre. I saw your video on youtube – i was wondering if i could use some shots for the television piece? Please let me know, many thanks indeed. Rebecca Curran, broadcast journalist.

    • Dear Rebecca,
Thank you for your interest in using some of my HSCT utube videos from Pirogov Hospital in Moscow.
Of course you can use what you need to help spread the word about this life changing procedure and Dr. Fedorenko’s goal to improve the quality of his patients.
Can you send me the link so I can see it after it airs?
      Nancy
